I bought a iPhone 5s yet it is in lost mode and says connect to iTunes, is there any software I could use to get pass this?

Backup iPhone 5s in Lost Mode?

I recently bought a iPhone 5s which turned up being in lost mode, I was told there isn't a way to reset the phone but what if I were to use my backup from my iPhone 6 on the locked 5s, would it work? And if not is there any software I can use to bypass the lost mode?

I dropped my iPhone 5s in the pool?

I dropped it in the pool and I immediate received the black screen of death, and my phone vibrated for 2 minutes straight before it completely died.

I have it in a jar of rice right now, and I think I have insurance on it.

Are there any other methods I could try?

Can my activity be monitored? Say, I'd be using an application, whatever it may be. Could someone monitor my activities on a certain application? How does it work exactly? Can they monitor my screen? I don't know if whatever I'm saying is making sense, lmao. If it's not obvious, I'm not very techs-savvy.

Why is it that my eyes look asymmetrical in iPhone selfies but not in DSLR photos?

I read that a selfie is how you look in real life because it flips the image the way others see you, but i tried flipping all of my DSLR photos and in none of them did my eyes look wonky like they do in selfies. How does this make sense?
