IMessage working for all contacts but one?

I have an iPhone 4 running on iOS 6.1.2 and my friend got the iPhone 5 running on iOS 6.1.2 yesterday. She iMessaged me but it was through an email and when she sent an SMS, it was from her actual phone number and a separate message opened up.

Today she iMessaged me but when I replied with iMessage, it sent but like 2 minutes later, it said not delivered.It does the same thing when I try to send pictures too.

I already tried turning iMessage on and off and restarting my phone. I'm also using wifi. Any suggestions?

If I activate my 1st gen iphone without a SIM card will it still work with a SIM card? I won't be able to get a SIM card for a bit and want to use the iphone for apps and such till then, but want to know if it would still work with the SIM card later if I activate it without it now.

Tracking devices for iphones?

Ok so i haven't lost my iphone or anything, but i was just wondering what would happen in the event i did lose it or it was stolen, how would i track it?

Well for a start i know there is the apps like "find my iphone" but for that to work you need to have GPS enabled on your phone and hope to god the thief didn't turn it off because if he did then obviously it renders the app useless

So i was thinking about different methods to tracking it, some form of chip you could place inside your phone so that if it was stolen you didn't need to rely on the phone to be on to track it, you could use the chip instead (because the thief wouldn't be able to get into the phone to remove it)

So does anyone know if there is anything like that for iphones? or chips that size that could be fitted to an iphone?

Im a freshman.only child.my parents argue alot for dumbest reasons ever and they are alcoholics drink everyday.me im not growing up to be like that i get straight a's play sports and all the good things.my dad is in military and my mom doesn't work currently. Hi so for my Christmas/birthday present my mom bought an iphone 4s off of one of her "friends" for $150, the friend was supposedly upgrading to an iphone 5.So after I myself sank 70 dollars into it buying another sim tray, case, screen protectors, and contracting with At&t I find out it is stolen and I can't use it. Experience with lifeproof case?

I have the iPhone 5 and want the lifeproof case for taking in the water but there are some pretty bad reviews on it saying that it is not watertight and ruins your iphone. Should I buy it? Who's had a good or bad experience with it? My other choice would be the mophie juice pack helium because its like having an extra battery for your phone. What do you reccomend? I already have an otterbox defender, incipio dualpro, black bumper with clear back case, and 2 silicon skins.

So I'm 14 and I have some issues with some people. I'm bullied constantly by one group of boys. I have many friends (boys and girls) And no one has told me the things they tell. Can I download a streaming podcast?

I'm wondering if I could download a podcast that is streaming only on a dedicated site. I listen to WTF with Marc Maron and I bought his premium subscription in order to listen to older episodes. Unfortunately I do not own an iPhone or Android device. I use Blackberry (save your breath, I know I should upgrade) and with the new episodes that I get from iTunes it works great. But the older ones only have the option to stream.So basically without having Apple or Android (there's an app for it) your stuck listening to them on your computer. I listen when I work out so I need a way to download them.

I know I could use audio recorders like Audacity to record the podcast as it plays, but it's a 1-2 hour episode every time. And there are like 300 shows to download. I'd really like to have them without waiting that long every time.

So, my question is: is there any site that I can just put in the web address and get it converted (like youtube-mp3.org)? I tried the Firefox Cache method (finding the file in cache and renaming.mp3) and it didn't work at all. I found the file but after renaming it it will not play. Any thoughts?

My internet connection randomly drops until I disconnect my computer from the router then reconnect.It is only the internet connection that drops, the router signal/connection remains and my NAS can still be accessed. Sometimes it goes hours without loosing connection, sometimes it's minutes. I am using a macbook pro with mountain lion installed, and the same issue occurs with my iphone.
My network set up is essentially the modem > switch > router > laptop/iphone.

What should I do about my daughter?

My daughter is 14. She told me a few weeks ago that there was this girl texting her hurtful things, so I told her to block her. The police showed up at my door a few days later before she got home and printed off a list of terroristic threats she sent to people one included taking a shotgun to the principles head and beating up a girl and planting a bomb in her house. She sent it to 9 people from her school by getting the numbers off facebook. She did it on her ipad off of text plus. They took it to the district attorney and she is getting charged with harassment, so therefore has to do community service and pay a $479 fine. She has an iPhone, iPod touch and ipad. They traced it back through IP address. She also got two weeks of out of school suspension. She had to get evaluated at a crisis center, and currently goes to therapy. The therapist said she is angry and lonely. SHe went back to school and threatened some girl saying she was going to kill her, she almost got expelled. Her birthday was the 7th and we did nothing. We were going to go to Puerto Rico but I canceled the trip. She is an only child. The school is making it mandatory for all students to bring a mobile device, her ipad isn't aloud because she got caught taking pictures of people and photoshopping them. She has to bring one on Monday, if not we pay $120 a month to the school so she can use theirs.My daughter also found her ipad and took it out of its case, left the case in a drawer and is using it. How long should she be banned from the Internet? Was it right for me to take everything away? What should I do?

My iphone screen gets scratched even with screen protector?

I have an iphone 4 in white and i bought it with a screen protector.i keep it very safe, never dropped, i, never put it in a pocket full of stuff.yet, i have several hairline scratches..within a week's use.i dont think i pressed that hard on the screen either. I treated my iphone 3g with the same treatment and even dropped it twice.i didnt even have a screen protector on it! so why does my iphone 4 keep getting scratched! help please!

So like. I have 3 devices.An Ipod, Android and Iphone 4.

The apple earphones volume work fine with the Ipod and Android but when I insert the earphones into the iphone, The highest volume sounds really low. When I take the earphones off it sounds perfectly fine.

I had my recording iPhone in my lap and I syncronized it with at a timer on my computer. I wrote down the time that the slide was being talked about on to my notebook. The online timer was in clear sight of a student behind me..a guy. I left class and he was talking with a couple of other students… not about me… but I didn't get a chance to see if he stayed after class to talk to professor.

This is one week after I asked a different professor if the department approved of recording lectures.

Do most students take the time to report this if they knew I was recording lectures? Or is that extreme tool territory?

WHY won't my iPhone 4S turn off? - 2

My iPhone 4S won't turn off, when I slide power off it turns off for a couple of seconds and then it turns itself back on any ideas how to solve this problem I have reset it, synced it restored it etc. Also my battery drains really quickly.

Well my teacher told me that she is expecting her first child. I was so happy for her and really excited. :)) since I am very creative an already made her a scarf that he loved I want to make something for her first child! I want to return my iphone 5?

Hello everyone.

I upgraded my phone today to a iphone 5. I went to the T-mobile store to upgrade (in the UK). But I've been having a lot of problems with it. The reception is really poor at my house compared to my old phone and the screen is really unresponsive. I have to tap the screen about ten times sometimes before something happens!!! Also as a side note, the more I use the phone, the more I realise I hate the interface on the iphone and really prefer the android interface.

Would I be able to return this phone? I read elsewhere online that only phones bought online can be returned within 7 days, but not phones bought in store? Any advice?

My wifi on iphone 4s won't turn on?

Hello so i got an iphone like a month ago and i've updated it to ios 601 and for some reason my wifi stopped working, this didn't happen straight after though. The thing is that the button is stuck on 'off' and i tried switching it on and off, reseting network settings and turning the airplane mode on but nothing seems to work. Help me :'(

Theres a guy i became really close friends with in the past half of year. I develop really strong feelings for him, and i told him that i liked him… but he hasnt told me how he feels about me :/… We only have one class together in school which we always joke around in <3
 
We text every single day for hours apon hours about everything and anything, and every text is a paragraph… He send alot of the kiss face, winks and heart eyed iphone emoji along with him flirting 
When were texting we talk about cuddling when were cold, being on a beach alone, and just random things that give the hint he likes me

When i asked him who he likes he just said "this girl, shes just took my breathe away"… Which i know 10000% he was lying about

He talks about hanging out at the park, houses, mall etc… one time we did make plans but he had to cancel due to him twisting his ankle :/

He doesnt interact with any other girls on facebook (at least news feed wise)… I used my friends fb to see his page since i dont have one. Yeahh i know thats bad lol

Long story short; Im a foreign student who bought an Iphone 4 with a sprint dataplan, now Im forced to stop the plan early. There is no simcard hole in the phone which makes me think that the phone is cdma? Can i still use the phone by switching networks? or can I somwhow get the phone to accept sim cards?

My iphone 4s wont play music videos?

So recently i've recieved this iphone 4s as a birthday gift with Verizon as the carrier.
Obviously, I downloaded music videos via itunes and they've downloaded into my phone. Though, when I press the video app, the video appears but it has this white glaze over it. If i press it, nothing happens. I've bought over 10 videos and it'd be a waste. When I sync my phone, it says "Title---Artist - cannot be played on this iphone." I've asked many apple "geniuses" but they keep just telling me that I need to update my phone. I have the lastest ios 6.1.1 and I don't use quicktime.
