Backing up photos on iphone 3gs?

Hi, I am getting an iphone 5 for christmas and want to have the photos that are on my phone (3gs) now to be on the new phone.Is there a way to back them up through itunes or some app so that this is possible? I know how to just upload them on the computer, so that isn't a problem, but I would like to at least to have some of them on my new phone to use for backgrounds and contacts. Thanks :)

Why won't my iPhone charger work in my car?

I have a duel charger adapter in my car. One cord I use for my iPhone and the other I use for my kindle.My iPhone cord was working fine and one day it wasn't charging my iPhone anymore. I took the cord out and tried to use it at home and it still didn't work.My kindle charger still works in my car though so it can't be the outlet. I thought maybe it was just a bad cable so I used another iPhone cable in my car and it worked the first time and after that it stopped working too and I don't know why my iPhone cords aren't working but my kindle cord is. What colour iPhone 4S do you prefer and why?

I'm getting the iPhone 4S in a few weeks and I'm still not sure on which colour to get!

I can imagine myself with the white one but I'm going I have it for about 2 years so I'm scared it might get dirty, like someone said that after a while dirt gets into the side of the button at the front, and if the phone's white it will be more visible.

I like the black one but it looks soo average and I have a black iPod. I guess the black one would be the safer options as it wouldn't get dirty.

Iphone problem! I can't get text messages from some people, but can from others?

I have a iphone 4, running on the latest version; ios6.0.1? i believe if I'm not mistaken.
I use it on t-mobile, i believe it is factory unlocked. I do use imessage, i attempted to turn it off and see if the person could text me again; still haven't received.
I do receive text message from some people. I restarted my phone a couple of times.

Hey I have a lop top I live in a apartment that offers free Internet. I teared on my computer to go on the Internet it ant working at all. I called the Internet places they said its working fine.It shows on corner of screen that something's unplugged witch is not since don't have a house phone. I tried on my ps3 and iPhone.It connects to the wifi signal but you can go on the internet. I have a Westell router. The "DSL" and "power" lights are the only ones lit up, there is one that says "Internet" but it's not lit up. Ive unplugged EVERYTHING and plugged it back in multiple times. Its to put songs on my iphone. I used to use limewire and it was very easy and simple to transfer the songs to itunes. I use frostwire now but no offence it is ***!!! I swear it was by accident! I had finished up Christmas and I was trying to all of my bags out of my car. Why does itunes keep wanting me to set up my iphone 5?

So I got an iphone 5 today, had the iphone 4 before this. When I connect to itunes it gives me the option to set up as new or back up from my previous phone. I backed up from the previous phone and it appears to do it all correctly, however every time I plug the phone into the computer and go to itunes it keeps presenting me with only these 2 options - new set up or backed up set up, even after I have already done this.It won't let me progress into managing my phone at all.

Any reason why?

Ok, so I plug in my iPhone 4S into my Acer laptop (both around a year old and working fine) and the little jingle for insertion into USB port sounds, but that's all that happens. The phone doesn't start charging, nor does the computer recognise that anything's been plugged in (I've checked the 'Computer' folder, nothing's there). Fairly sure it's not the phone - I plugged it into my mum's computer and it worked just fine - iTunes recognised it was there and opened immediately, and that's what my own laptop did until about a week ago. I've also tried plugging in my USB hard drive (it transfers files just fine) and my old 2006 4GB iPod nano (it charges and transfers music fine too).It just seems to be the iPhone 4S that my laptop doesn't like. Any thoughts on how I can fix this?

When I open up the properties it says this:

For three months when i first got it, I had free unlimited data for three months.As soon as I updated my apple software to 6.0, my phone would start going to cellular data instead of staying to my homes WiFi network. Something bad happened to me and I don't know who to tell?

The word bad is sort of an understatement.something happened to me this summer and i really can't decide who to tell or how to get this out there, therefore i chose YA to share the story to and gain advice on how to go about telling people.the only reason i actually want to share the story is for it to serve as a big warning for young people (especially young girls) of the dangers of the internet.

right, i am currently 19 years old living in the UK. this mess started when i was 14 (september of 2008) whilst i was living in atlanta, georgia of the united states.i lived in the UK as a child and had several friends i still kept in contact with; one of which told me to sign up for a site called tagged(dot)com.essentially it was one of those bebo/myspace-esque sites, you build your own profile and send comments to each other, have profile photos, etc.i was bored and it seemed fun.i was quite shy in real life but after receiving an influx of attention became blinded by it.soon enough a guy was sending me messgaes, complimenting my photos, as a naive teenager i enjoyed this much more than i should have.we quickly became online friends, spoke loads on msn, that kinda thing.
i was in georgia like i said, and he was in canada.in the province of saskatchewan to be exact.his name was 'matthew eckert', claimed to be two years older than me, soon finishing high school, an avid basketball player, typical teenage boy i suppose.well our friendship turned into somewhat of a romance and before i knew it i was texting him loads (and running the bill up). we would talk endlessly.got along surprisingly well and shared our deepest thoughts and secrets.i was soon his 'girlfriend' although we had never met.i was convinced he was the love of my life and the day i met him would be the greatest.i was stupid, naive as mentioned before, and gullible to have thought this.i lied to everybody constantly, friends would ask to hang out but i'd say i was busy and spend all night speaking to him.we never spoke on the phone though, or had any sort of video communication.i sent him letters occasionally thinking i was cute and romantic; he'd say he sent a reply but it got lost in the post etc.
the following year after our initial online meeting my parents decided to move us back to the UK; this caused some stress in my 'relationship' however we decided we loved each other sooo much that we'd keep it going, and he promised he would visit.every summer or christmas, we'd always make plans to see each other.and something would always occur to randomly ruin the plans.i eventually got suspicious (like i should have done at the very beginning). i realised i had never seen him on video, so i asked for at least a call.my suspicions subsided because we did start speaking on the phone and the voice seemed oddly normal.
well as the relationship continued i grew very wary of the fact i had never seen my boyfriend in the flesh.i started to worry for own safety.when i asked for video chats he'd always put it off saying he didn't have a webcam.okay, a.) nearly every laptop these days has a webcam and b.) even if they don't, how hard is a $10 webcam to purchase for someone you claim to love? it just didn't fit in correctly.i researched the academic awards he claimed to receive and the schools he claimed to play sports for, his name was never mentioned once.there was no record of a matthew eckert ANYWHERE. i started pestering him to prove himself so we could continue the relationship in piece.

low and behold, in the midst of an argument this summer, matt said to me 'okay, i'm not who i say i am'. this was over a message on the iphone messaging app called kik.first this person attempted another lie, trying to say they were somebody called derek, but in the end admitted their real identity.this person was in fact a girl.her name is tiffany strachan and she has ruined my trust in anybody human.for 5 years she lied to me, pretended to be a boy, kept me up when i should have been studying, fought with me over situations she essentially made up, and above all got nude photos from me (i thought i was doing a nice thing for a boyfriend at the time). she knew my deepest secrets and used them against me when i was upset, at times she was horrendously cruel, i just.i can't explain how horrid this situation was.i thought i had the love of my life.who knows how many young naive girls are out there thinking the same?

I was playing a game on it. The phone got discharged. I charged it. Switched it on unlovked it and i found that the brightness of. The screen is soo low and high contrast display. I have an iPhone 4 and don't have a lot of data left. What I don't get is my phone has 8GB and 5.8GB where used but I only have 726.76MB. I don't have any music and not a lot of apps but I have 1, 800 pics do pictures take up a lot of data can u guys please help

Sometimes my iPhone home button doesn't work?

As in, sometimes I press the home button to light the screen up and it does nothing. Also, sometimes the auto brightness on my phone is weird and it'll get really dim in good lighting conditions. But then when I press the on/off button and press it again to light the screen up again, the brightness is back to normal. Are either of these things weird? The brightness thing has only happened like twice, after my phone was in my jacket and my backpack. The home button thing has been happening more frequently (but still not that frequently). Today I recalibrated the button, so hopefully that'll help. But is it normal, or do I need to get a new phone?

Spilled water on iPhone - any chance of it repairing?

My iPhone 3g got some water on it today when my water bottle leaked inside my bag (I didn't realize for a long time). I blow dried it a bit, and it got better temporarily. But now it's just dead; it won't turn on or do anything. I was at school when this happened, and was only able to put it in rice about an hour ago (when I got home).So basically, it was not put in rice until about 5 hours.
I'm going to leave it in the rice, then check on it tomorrow morning.
I'm just wondering what are the chances it will work again? It was working (more or less) earlier - it was very erratic, but it was capable of being on and the buttons worked. What are your experiences with a water damaged iPhone? Is there any hope, or will it most likely need to be replaced?

Why does my iPod on my iPhone crash?

Okay so I open my camera (no, it is NOT on video setting, I know the music fades when the video is on) and it just crashes. I have an iPhone 4S, and lately it's been laggy and crashing. I never want to go out anymore?

I avoid talking to everyone on facebook, skype and on iphone, i instantly logg off if anyone who might talk to me is online. I have to force myself to pick up my phone just to check messages, as if i'm scared. I don't know why i do this, if i get caught in a conversation with someone whos my friend i make up an excuse on why i have to go. Its not that i don't want to talk to my friends, i want to - want to talk them but i don't.its my mind saying no no no no no no don't pick up the phone, don't leave the house, your going to be miserable. I have a Droid Razr Maxx as my main phone. But the other day my friend said he could sell me his Iphone 4S for $20. I knew it had to be fake and finally he confessed it was but said it was an amazing fake phone.It has working apps, you can add music, and it looks exactly like an Iphone 4S. So here's the situation.

I'm a teen and I have a job, I will have $934 by the time my Christmas Break is over.

At home, I share a laptop with my family and it is kind of slow and outdated for the video editing that I need to do. The laptop is from 2009 and is too slow for video editing that I do. I edit 1080p HD so I kind of need another computer. I haven't made any videos for a few months now, but I plan to in the spring.

I use to have an iPod Touch, 2nd Generation, but I sold that for some money for saving, and that was a little slow for me, plus most apps required IOS 4.3.and it only went to 4.2.1. For school, taking a laptop would be to heavy, but we are allowed to use technology for in-class essays, and I type faster than writing so I'm not sure if I should get one. I also find it annoying taking a laptop with me when going places and taking an iPad would be less weight. That way I can experience IOS and do work with less weight.In computers class, I need an IOS Device, and an iPod will not be acceptable, so I either need an iPhone or iPad. I already have a cell phone, an android, which is four months old, and I find it okay, so I'm not sure if I should get an iPhone. However, I would like to get one because it will fit in my pocket, and kind of because everyone has one… lol

The laptop I would get costs $974 and iPod would not be okay, and I never want one again.An iPad comes to $563 with tax in my region.An iPhone would cost me $784 with taxes. I'm not sure if I should get an iPad or Laptop first. I could use an iPad, so that I can use it for school and for the portability, but a laptop would help me for video editting, and school work at home. If you are not sure, please list your answer in what you believe is priority.My laptop at home is shared, slow, and not sufficient for video editting.

I've done what I could to see what the problem was. I "Forget this network" on my iphone under wifi settings and tried to reconnect and nothing. I messed up my netgear router how do I fix it?

I own a N600 netgear router and it worked fine until i tried to change the settings to it online by connecting to 192.168.X.X. what i tried to change was the qos settings or the wmm crap then when i clicked "apply" it screwed up my connection and it doesn't work anymore since.whenever i make an attempt to connect to the wifi it says the signal is strong but nothing will frekin load up.it's like the router isn't cooperating with the modem, but the modem works.the only problem is i can no longer use wifi at all, meaning no online gaming, iphone, ipod connection, etc. I already unplugged the router and modem completely from everything twice and the issue still exists.i think i disabled the router or something.and i already tried to connect to http://192.168.X.X but it won't show up because i'm currently using the wired connection to my own desktop computer without the router. What can i possibly do to fix this issue???

I'm planning on buying a smartphone, and I was considering not only the iPhone5, but various Android and Windows phones. I currently have an iPod and iTunes, and I listen to many podcasts. I really like how iTunes will automatically download the latest episodes of podcasts when they're released.

I've discovered that the 'Google Play Store' has no podcast section, and from what I can gather a separate app is needed to listen to podcasts on Android device, which seems to be much more laborious than what must be done with an iPhone.

Am I correct in thinking that podcast listening is more difficult using an Android device? If I'm wrong, what do you need to do to download and listen to podcasts? If I'm right, how big of a factor do you think this problem is to weigh in on my decision?

Okay so, I have Virgin Mobile and for Christmas I'm trying to decide if I want an iPhone 4 or 4s.My parents said I had to put up some money for it because the 4 is 350 and the 4s is 450. I don't know which to choose because the 4 only comes in an 8GB model.. . I already have my iPod filled with 3+ GB of stuff that I'm going to be transferring to my new phone. If I get a 4s it only comes in an 16 GB model which seems like it would be enough.
