Itunes not picking up my iPhone? - 1

When i plug my iPhone 6 into my macbook air, my phone starts charging and iTunes will open, but the iPhone icon at the top left blinks? Like it connects for a second then stops then again. Then after a while a message on my laptop pops up saying: "iTunes cannot read the contents of the iPhone. Go to the Summary tab in iPhone preferences and click Restore to restore this iPhone to factory settings." I really don't want to factory reset my phone, is there another way to fix this? Why is this happening? I've plugged it in many times before and its worked fine… I haven't changed anything. Ive tried restarting my phone and laptop, I've tried a different USB, but nothings worked!

my family and I are going to Palm Springs, CA and it is a 8 hour drive from our place in California to the house. We will stop at Oxnard for the night then hit the road in the morning after breakfast. I will be meeting some 4 girl cousins who I haven't met yet. They are 20, 14, 15, and 17. Why does Apple overprice their products?

for example my buddy needed ram for his computer so the shortest way to get it was to go to best buy. I went to best buy and the ddr3 8gb kit was $80 and i was like no way thats overpriced. Amazon.com had ddr3 8gb 1600mhz for $40 but i didnt want to wait for shipping. And now i called up the apple store to see how much an 8gb ddr3 1600mhz was and it was a huge jump up to $200, and 16gb ddr3 was an overkill price of $400. Seriously wtf is this bullshit i can buy 64gb ddr4 with that money for cheaper. I think apple should just stop ripping off their customers and just kill themselves. I understand that maybe getting an iphone would be worth it because there isnt a way to get ios software from apple on an any other phone or anything if you really like the os on the apple devices. Its kind of an exclusive but i can just easily build a hackintosh desktop for just $500 and it would be more powerful than a $1500 mac. Like seriously osX only costs so little for a usb with it in there. I'm more talking about hardware here guys not software wise so let me know why apple does this.

I have this app. It is so unspeakably awesome and so magnificent! With it, I can learn more about the stars, planets, comets, galaxies, clusters, nebulae, and space stations in just one single tap on the screen! However, despite the epic features and minor flaws, is it truly accurate and Live? I tried aiming my iPhone at different directions and all I got was the celestial bodies in the wrong spot. For example; When it was 12 noon, I pointed it at the Sun, but it took me to the area where it last was! I’m so confused! Please explain to me why it sometimes is not Live. Thank you very much.

Guys, I need your help. So annoying that everytime I need to add files on my iphone from my iMac. It will do the whole back up first before I can transfer the data on my iphone and it takes a lot of time waiting. Is there any other option how to stop backing up iphone on my iMac? So disgusting and irritating you have to add only 3 photos but you need to wait more than 1 hour this is too much. I tried to change the settings on itunes preferences and delete the back up buttons but still it does everytiime I connected my iphone it will automatically do the back up. Please help.

My girlfriend of three years and I are trying to look for an app that we can text over, but it's not at all an obvious texting app.

Her parents recently found out that she was disobeying them and seeing my family, who they don't like and now we are not allowed to contact eachother at all.

whole story: my parents made me buy an iphone 5s using my giff gaff account ( so they didnt have to pay for a giff gaff goody bag at £15) for my little brothers xmas present but when they put in a virgin sim (they want the free virgin to virgin calls) its say the carrier is not supported and sim not valid. I went on Instagram and I saw a girls post to go on a website to look at my "top nine posts of 2015" so I entered the website into the Google app and as soon as I clicked the website a pop up came up giving me a toll free iOS number and that my apple device may have a virus. What should I do? Does that Mean I have a virus? Or is it just a pop up? It gave me a list of things that may be at risk. I exited out of that website and cleared it from my history. I met my roommate at school we had a class together and became friends. It was great and we had a lot of common interests. Sooner or later we moved in together and I started seeing a different side to her. She is always asking questions and wants to know my business. If I get a package she wants to know what it is. She keeps pestering me with texts and face to face conversations and asks me if something is wrong when I m quiet because she thinks I m mad at her. When the only thing making me mad is when she keeps asking if I am mad. I m a quiet person and only speak when I need to. One day I got out of the shower (we have our own bathrooms) and got a text from her while she was in the other room with her stating that I was in the shower for too long. One day I left a bowl in my room in a hurry to go to school and she went into my room without my permission and took it. She did the same thing when I was at my boyfriends house for the night and took my iPhone charger without my consent. I think it s rude and unacceptable for her to go into my room at all because it s my room and I pay to live in it.

My husband and I have been married for a year in a half, exactly. And we do have a lot of good times together, but we also have bad times, of course, which always makes me feel like sh*t. For instance, tonight he was at my uncles house, then he came home, and I surprised him dressed up all sexy in bed. Well, we had "romantic" and "passionate" sex. During the whole time his phone kept ringing. It was his guy friends wanting to get some drinks. Well, we finished and then he says hes going to go. I obviously get mad because we just spent a romantic time, for him to just get up and leave. Well, he went anyways. Supposedly just for a little while. Guess what? It's past 2AM and he's still not here. Then I call him and he says they're at a friends house drinking. And I have him on the Find Friends app on the iPhone and his location states he is at the strip club. I'm so heartbroken. I'm tired. I'm disappointed. Please give me some advice:/

they are both £539.00 and I was wondering whether a 16 gb phone would be too small, also is the pros of the 6s would make up for the limited storage?
I am upgrading from an 8gb ipod, which has finally died after almost five years of use. I ran out of storage very quickly due to my music library and photos using around 4gb of storage, so had very little apps and it was slow and I do not want to pay over £500 just to have it run out so is there a considerable difference between 8gb and 16gb?

Okay so first of all I don't use my snapchat, I just use it for the camera I have nobody on it, but I have instagram and I always see people posting pictures that they obviously took with the snapchat camera cause it'll show like the screenshot and everything, and there picture is like high quality and perfect, mines on the other hand comes out blurry and gross. I ve just sold my iPhone 5S… Paranoia has kicked in?!

So I went to Settings>General>Reset and clicked Erase all content and settings and when the phone turned itself back on I did a hard reset (holding down home button, volume button and power button for 10 secs) and again that reset itself and when I checked it seemed like a brand new phone but now I m just worried that my text messages/pictures/iCloud account will still be on that phone? Can somebody please put my mind at ease?!

Iphone wont turn on even though its charging?

So last night I got home and plugged my iphone into the charger as it was dead I went to go get it about 3 hours later and it was still hasn't turned on yet but it shows on the screen as if it was charging. So I thought for some reason it was taking longer then normal so I went to sleep for 9 hours and when I woke up it still hasn't turned on yet. I went online to try and see what was going on but didn't really find a reason. I have clean the port on the bottom of the phone and changed cords and wall adapter as that was what people were saying to do. Still nothing. I have tried to hard reset nothing. I havetried unpluging it for 10 minutes and plugging it back in as i hold the lockbotton as still nothing. Keep in mind it is saying that it is charging this whole time. What can i do?

So I sold my old iPhone online, my friend checked it first and assured me it was unlocked but the buyer has just gifted it to her son for Christmas and it s not unlocked. It s a complete nightmare! The original sim is now in my new phone and the old iPhone is with this woman so I can t put the original sim in the old phone, it s from Vodafone and they require account holder info and an IMEI number found by calling a number. New iPhone 5s, lost game data?!

I broke my old phone and I cannot touch the screen. I dropped my phone and it had this pressure crack. It won't let me touch the right side of it and only the left side worked. Anyway, so due to the pressure on the screen of my old phone, it pressed random numbers as my passcode and locked me out. It's disabled and said connect to iTunes, which is stupid considering I can't connect to iTunes without unlocking my phone.

So, yeah.

On my new phone I restored a back up from December 19, 2015, but all my game data is gone! How do I retrieve it?

Why isnt my instagram working?

my instagram hasnt been working for a long time. Im not sure if its my device, my profile or something else. Im honestly so frusterated because my phone is a iphone 6s plus and it should work. I am not sure about it bc i had my friend log into my instagram to post a picture for me and it wouldnt work when she went to click the post button even on her phone. My instagram keeps closing out when i click on the app. I have called everyone and i have done almost everything in the world to try to fix it. How to get water spots out of an IPhone 6s?

Yesterday I dropped my iPhone 6s in a (clean) toilet. I quickly grabbed it out and dried it off, and got all the water out of my speakers and headphone jack. Everything seemed to be working perfectly. But this morning I woke up to 4 bubbles in the top left edge of my screen. These bubbles popped and the water expanded as the day went on today. I am now really worried, as there is one gray blob of a water mark and there are white lines right under where the time is on the screen. How do I get this water out? Everything online is geared towards older generations so I don t know how to get the water out of the TOP of the phone, as there is no hole up there. I m attempting rice tonight, but I doubt it will work. If you have any recommendations, they d be very appreciated. Thank you!

IPhone messages won't send to ONE person?

My dad cannot message me at all. We both have iPhone 5s', however he still uses SMS, while I use iMessage. This shouldn't be a problem since iPhone's automatically switches the SMS/iMessage mode depending on the person who you're talking with. Every time my dad tries to message me, it will not go through. He gets a red statement under his message saying "Not Delivered" with a red exclamation mark.

I checked both iPhone's blocked menu, and we didn't block each other. I can message him fine. So I did some testing like deleting my contact from his phone completely. Then I tried messaging him, and I expected to see 1(###) ###-#### as the contact name on his iPhone, however I got instead 001##########. I'm curious to know if those 00 in the beginning means something. If so, how do I remove it? I did some research and it means some out of the country type of number.

All my friends are addicted to a new game for iPhone called Tack Attack but I personally can't get into it, I think it's just another ripoff of Flappy Bird. Iphone 5c randomly mutes itself?

hey guys,
recently my iPhone 5c has been having this problem where i would be listening to my music (original app) through my headphones and then suddenly the volume would get stuck and when i try to change it, all that happens is the volume bar flickers and the mute switch is on loud so it wouldn't be that. The only way to get rid of it is to turn my phone off then turn it back on again but it only disappears temporarily, and i'm not sure whats wrong with it

Iphone 6+ IOS 9 error 53 problem?

I'm having a problem installing the IOS 9 to my iphone 6+ it would not install on my phone so I had to do it through itunes on my laptop. Everything looked like it was going fine but then half way through the installation it stopped and have me an error 53. I tried it again on my other laptop (mac) and still nothing it kept giving me the same error. Also when i try to turn on my phone it just gives me the itunes logo to plug it into my laptop and either update or restore I tried both & still that same "error 53" appears. I don't understand what the problem could be, I've never had to replace my screen or home button. Can someone please help me figure this out?

Computer screen went black and won t do anything?

My girlfriend went to plug in her iPhone to the computer and says the screen just went black. The power light is on and if you plug it in it has another light that turns on and both work perfectly fine. This computer is fairly new and hasn t shown any signs of issues, especially like this. BUYING A SECOND HAND IPHONE?

I ve been wanting an iPhone 5c for ages as all my friends have them and the camera is amazing, but an 8GB one in stores is €400 and that is alot of money for a phone that could easily break.

So I went looking online for ages on buying and selling websites and found an

Blue iPhone 5c, 6 months old, 16gb, Excellent condition including charger and earphones for €200

To me this is a great offer as its not just 8gb for €200, its 16gn!

And its also a pro as I can collect it because its only an hours drive.

But are there things I need to know about second hand buying? Some of my friends phones are second hand and they re just fine.

I did mention did the seller have a receipt for proof of purchase and they said no. Is that too risky?

For the longest time I've always had which… Well I believe is OCD mixed with being a Perfectionist.

I can never stand by my choices and always have a long debate on which one I should pick. I always weigh the choices on which one I should do but---again it's always a long wiegh in. I even begin to doubt the choices I made and begin to believe I picked something else. This causes me to take pictures with my iphone (if I'm able too) on the choice I made.than if I begin to think I picked something else I look at the picture and think "ahh ok I made that choice than."

Now being a perfectionist is something that always annoyed me. I always like doing things in one shot and perfect at the sametime. If I don't do it in one shot or perfect I always restart (if I'm able too) than my choices OCD kicks in saying "Oh you didn't do it one shot you're a failure. It's either do it better than perfect or stop doing it."

And… Yeah it gets very annoying for me and others. My friend says I should try using a rubber band and whenever I start thinking my choice or being perfect on things… I just snap it on my wrist.

All of my Notes are gone after updating the ios 9 and I dont get notifications when I receive texts?

I updated my iPhone 5s to the lartest version of ios 9 and everything is messed up. When I go to Notes it says that I have zero folders. I haven't updated Notes yet. If I remember correctly, the first day all the notes were there. I backed up my phone before updating buy apparently I had notes off for backup so iCloud isn't a solution to recover it. What should I do, how can I recover my Notes. The same thing keeps happening with Reminders but it recovers after I turn off my iPhone then turn it back on.

Another problem I had is with messages. I have all the notifications on for messages and I turned it on and off a few times but it didn't work. So the problem is that I don't get notificatins when I get messages. The only way I see it is if I go to the app and tap on the person who sent it. But after I leave the app then enter again, the message that was sent isn't there anymore. Please help! This update ruined my phone and there are so many problems with it. Thanks in advance!

Has My Number Been Blocked by an iPhone?

I've called the number and it rings once and diverts to voicemail - I know this is the most obvious sign of being blocked so I called BACK. This time I got a different result, it kept ringing as though it normally would like the call had connected.

I tried this a few weeks ago and the exact same thing happened - called once and it went straight to voicemail, called again and it kept ringing as if connected.

Does this mean I'm blocked? I've heard that if you have, it will ALWAYS go straight to voicemail every time you call. But I'm getting different results each time, is this normal for being blocked or not since it rings?

Hey guys i just bought 5s 32 gig for like 150 bucks the problem was that the battery dies like in 1 hour with full charge I changed out the battery with AA quality battery and the sane thing, I thought it was a software probllem but samething. I have a question regarding prepaid Visas or MasterCards.
My 14 year old daughter likes to buy things off the internet. Either it be iPhone apps, shoes from Amazon or a bag from eBay.
I usually just give her my Visa when she wants to buy something. She has a part time job, so she does pay me back. I just hate the idea that she's using to on sites I'm unfamiliar with. Especially since I've been noticing a lot of extra charges these past few months.

I went to Target and saw you can get a prepaid Visa, but it cost $6.99 to activate it, $4.99 per month to just carry a balance, and a lot of other "hidden fees" and it just seems to much of a hassle. Especially when she'd only keep a MAX balance of $75 to $80 on it at a time.

Does anyone out there know of a card my daughter could get and load money on top that would on work exactly like a credit card for her Amazon, eBay and iPhone apps in their "checkout" area?

Hey, I locked out my old iPhone because I forgot my pass code. I m trying to factory reset it, so I connected to iTunes and got to the step where I clicked to "restore iPhone" then it popped up the next window and i clicked "restore and update." but then after a few minutes it tells me to allow access by clicking it on my iPhone. I m locked out of my iPhone, which is why I am resetting it. How do I get past this step?

Living in america, it is almost impossible to avoid sins and to not be forced into sin because of the way our country is. My job alone requires me to work sunday mornings, and i can no longer watch tv or listen to the radio because everything is about death or sex or something very sinful, especially hip hop music which has taken over most of the media. The society i live in only want to talk about and do sinful things like sex, politics, war, terror, greed involving their careers, obsession of material possessions like iphones etc… I cant even go a day in america without hearing something about gays and how important it is to believe being gay is ok. And im too afraid to express my opinion on the matter because i would be labeled as a very bad person. Im hoping for some advice that wouldnt require me to live all alone isolated fromt he world for the rest of my life just to avoid such sinful things. Text Messages getting broken up?

I have the iPhone 6S Plus and my best friend has the Galaxy S6. Why is it that every time we send a text that has some length to it, the message gets all broken up, arrive at different (EX part one will arrive right away but part 2 won't arrive for another 20+ minutes), and if there are more than 2 parts the arrive out of order. We both have Sprint. Is this a phone issue or is this's Sprint issue?

Switching to iPhone, what will i miss?

So, I m switching from my note 4 to an iPhone for 2 simple reasons:

1. Playstore is forbidden here, and it s a huge pain to use it, even paid app features will turn off when you log in playstore, you have to wipe everytime every time and downloads keep going backwards!

2. Only phones available in here these days are s6 and note 5! And I m not going near samsung again!

what will i miss if i switch to an iphone:? It already seems hard but not unlivable! I do programming(havne t looked at the IOS SDK but sounds hard to write an app for), use SSH sometimes etc…
Added (1). Also, do you think i should wait for iphone 7? How long will i be waiting? I don't have much money right now anyway:)
