I want to use Evasi0n to jailbreak my iPhone 5, but I want to keep all of my information (app data, pictures, etc, i.e. nothing being deleted at all) on it. Does it delete anything?

IPhone 5 putting private photos and videos on the map?!

Can iPhone 5 (not 5s) share your private photos and videos with other strangers. I got my iPhone 5 about 10 months ago. I broked the iPhone screen and went to apple store to fix it. They gave me a new feature on the iPhone. I didn't adjusted to this change. Then I clicked on the photos and saw that all of my private videos and pictures were put onto a map. I even saw other ppl's pictures. This is extremely important to me because its a lot of privacy and personal things

IMessage problem on iPhone 4s? - 1

I just got my boyfriend an iPhone 4S a couple days ago. The problem we are having, is his phone sends messages out as an iMessage but recieves messages as a text. So for example, when he texts me, on my end, it shows up as an iPhone but then when I send him a message it sends as a text and is green, not blue. I have iMessage turned on in settings and he has his phone and email both set for iMessage. This is very frustrating. Any ideas how to fix it?

How to set up iCloud for a family?

I want to set up iCloud on my families devices. I have an iMac, iphone and iPad and I'm happy for all the information on these devices to be synced through icloud. However my mum and dad also have iPhones and they would like their photos to appear automatically on the imac but not on my iphone or iPador each others phones. My sister also has an ipod nano and we apple tv. At the moment all our devices are registered under the same apple id, is this the right thing to do? If someone could advise me on how to best manage my families data through icloud it would be much appreciated.

How to get rid of extra songs on my Iphone?

I recently upgraded to the Iphone 5s from the 4. However, when I set up the phone, every single song I had ever purchased has returned even if I have fully deleted them from my computer. As a result, I have 100s of extra songs and no room. How do I get rid of them? There are also extra movies and tv shows that I had deleted awhile ago
Added (1). Simon, I tried that. I had to download the song first, then delete it. But when I "delete" it, the song is still on the phone. It just has to redownload. I want the songs to not appear in my library anymore, not to simply be not downloaded.

No Service when sim inserted into iphone 4?

I just got a used iPhone but when I put my sim card in it keeps saying no service and the contacts which were saved to my sim card aren't showing up. I have turned it on and off again many times and it still isn't working.

The iPhone used to belong to my dad and then my brother before me and they were on different networks so I don't think that's the problem

Confused about a girl, help?

So I met this girl a couple of weeks ago and in the space of a few days met each other. We kissed, hugged and stuff. She told me she was still getting over her ex so isn't ready for a relationship, I told her that was cool and it didn't change the affection she expressed to me.

Anyway, a week ago she told me was going to see family for Christmas (six hour drive) I told her to have fun and keep safe. A day or so later it was Christmas. I texted her once Merry Christmas. She only texted the day after on Thursday wishing me MERRY XMAS and apologising for the bad reception, she also told me she will be back tomorrow and asked me if it's cool to text when she got back. I tell her that's cool but here's the thing:

She hasn't texted and it's been Friday, Saturday, Sunday. I sent a text on Friday and one on Sunday (didn't text on Saturday). On Friday I texted "hope you haven't crashed I know it's late but still interested in meeting" and on Sunday I texted that "Just been to the beach with mates. Are you alive?". She has an iPhone and it doesn't said that she's read them ('Delivered') but maybe she's turned off notifications?

I have been to the place she's staying in with flatmates a couple of times and it's close by, should I rock up unannounced if there still is no reply tomorrow? I'm actually worried about her but I'm also worried if I do and she is there I will come across as needy, as overly concerned etc. Also what if this is an odd way of rejection by just flat out rudely ignoring someone? The other option is to not go and have this unresolved and eating at me…

So what should I do: Go to the house or sweat it out for another week etc?

I have called her phone twice (last Monday before she went away and on Friday but she never answers). Then again from a blocked number yesterday but still no answer so calling is no use.

I have been nothing but sweet to her, I gave her flowers the third time we met, I have driven her around we have had no arguments but after she opened up about her ex I told her I thought she was beautiful and I think she was uncomfortable with that as she said I was being 'intense' but she still kissed me and we seemed to be on good terms.
Added (1). Beautiful and falling for her*. In hindsight I probably shouldn't have said I was falling for her as it could've scared her off (being 'intense' 'smothering') but after her revealing where she stood and all the problems she had with her ex I felt I had to make my feelings clear otherwise I would be somehow 'lying' or not being forward. I also said I would not pressure her into anything (meaning meeting my mates, attending parties etc.) if she gave me her time but she got defensive going 'and I wouldn't let you' that's probably the only awkward moment that's stuck in my mind. Still we kissed and spent the day together after that…

So my friend and i were messing around and there was this guy who had been quite rude to her, and i got his number (he 100% did not have my number).

Should I just get an iphone for my upgrade?

I have an htc rezound and I've had to replace it with the same htc rezound like three or four times and I'm sick of it. The thing is, I hate the iphone. Well I don't hate it.It's just that apple is not up to my standards of features and the screen is so small compared to high-end androids (androids that cost the same as iphone whatever). For example, the iphone got panorama after android. My htc phone came out 2011 and iphone didn't get panorama till some time after. Idk I just don't see the hype in iphone like it's practically the same thing every time they release a new one and people with the iphone act like they're rich and they act like they're above everyone else when it comes to phones when androids often cost the same as freaking iphones.

But whatever. Anyway, I'm asking if I should just settle for the iphone since I don't hear about people having issues with it all the time but I was also considering the S4 or maybe the next one that comes out if there will be a next one.

Hiding Iphone from airport scanner?

My wife is going to our native land India for couple of weeks. She is taking her iphone in her purse, and two more iPhones ( for her 2 brothers) in checked luggage. Indian Airport staff has bad reputation for stealing your high end electronics once they see it in the scanner. Am I wrong (or even selfish) for thinking I should have gotten something?

My 40th birthday and Hanukkah both fell in November. My mother said she wanted to get me an iPhone as a gift as both my birthday and Hanukkah included because it was so expensive (okay no problem)…our family also does Elfster, which is like a pollyanna and each of us is drawn a family member's name and we have to get them a $50 gift…well this year it turned out that Mom got me and when it came time for everyone to give out their gifts, she was proud to say her's was included in her beautiful Hanukkah gift I already got, my iPhone…

(now this was not a cheap gift…it cost to activate the phone, she got me a case and the Apple care insurance for 2 years)…but that was supposed to be my special 40th birthday gift and Hanukkah only I was under the impression…

so I just sat there and held up my iPhone for my family to see…not that they haven't seen one before, I think they all have them even my nieces…

I spent some time on Elfster picking out gifts I would have been happy to receive (we have to give ideas to our family members)…

So anyway, I was disappointed…it was my one "guaranteed" gift I knew I was getting…if my mom had been drawn any other family member she would have had to buy them a $50 gift…so to me, my Hanukkah gift and Pollyanna gift should not be considered one and the same? Am I wrong…am I being selfish?

My mom gives me a lot throughout the year…so it has nothing to do with $50…it's just the idea of being handed another gift…I hardly get any gifts throughout the year and it just would have been nice…

I just want other's opinions if you do a family pollyanna, is that separate from everything else? I'm just hurt my mother thought they were one and the same and want to know if I am just selfish:(

The reason I need two iPhones is because colored ones are really in right now and the 5s is an upgrade and the upgrade is always in. So I need both.
Anyway, for Christmas all I got was a BLUE Lamborghini instead of red! I mean I've been telling my parents forever that I want a red one! I also got only a blue iPhone 5c instead of both! Why are people unable to control their money?

I don't get why my friends and southern cousins are poor. Every time I go to their houses, they have game systems. My friend says, "We're too poor for cheese," but she gets a brand new iphone.
Then, there are my middle class friends. They wonder why their parents won't take them to Europe when they drive a mommy-bought car and have ipads and iphones. Honestly, Europe is not that expensive if you know where to visit and stay in a 2-3 star hotel. Why don't people know how to manage money?

Okay, I am a girl asking this question. I share this account with a friend. Anyway, on to my question.

So I've liked the same guy for three years, basically we've been good friends and I've had a big crush on him. He almost always tells me I'm beautiful or dressed nice but that's it. I assumed he liked me a lot since we hung out a lot, so I waited for him to ask me out and he never has. So I sucked it up and decided to ask him out, and he always says he is to busy most of the time and he only ever has time late at night but I tend to work late.

The first year I knew him I got him a present for Christmas, and he didn't get me anything but I never made a big deal about it.

The second year I knew him I got him a Birthday present I saved up money for, he never told me his birthday I just saw it on his Facebook. I was sad that year that he didn't even wish me a happy birthday, not even on Facebook and he does wish happy birthday to other people…And for Christmas I got him a movie, and he still didn't give me anything.

The third year (this year) I reminded him of my birthday and he texted me happy birthday…which was nice but I reminded him so it wasn't THAT nice. I also didn't get him a birthday gift, I just said happy 30th birthday, to sort of make fun of his age. (I'm 24 and he's
30).

I always assumed he was a penny pincher but he bought himself the new IPAD air this Christmas. So obviously he isn't, plus he can get the newest iPhone whenever it's out and I have had the same phone from Metro PCS for four years.

I know it makes me sound like a gold digger, but it would have been nice to get at least a card or something that made him seem like he thinks about me. But I guess he doesn't. Should I just give up on him? The only 'date' we've ever had was a trip to Starbucks. He also says he likes me a lot, and more than a fried but I never have believed him.
Added (1). Uhmm, he isn't Gay, he was married before, he also had a girlfriend when I met him. He is single now. But when I first met him I did ask him because he seemed really nice and he laughed and said nope he wasn't, but he did get that a lot. He wonders why everyone thinks a nice guy has to be gay.

So I was walking down a not so crowded street (there were people, but not as much people where you cant run off after you snatched someone's phone) holding on to my iPhone when it got snatched off by a robber.

My itunes songs wont play on my iphone?

A week ago, i was going to a concert. I put new music on my phone so i could listen to it in class.
The next day, i realized the songs didnt sync. I shook it off.
That night Since i have only an 8gb phone i decided i would just unsync my songs then put them back on after i took pictures and put them on my computer.
I somehow accidentally deleted the Purchased playlist on my iphone. I was getting frustrated so i just decided i would use the space i had instead of causing a hassle. So i googled how to recreate the purchased playlist. I followed the steps and got the playlist back.

When i get home a few days later, i try to sync the songs i had originally downloaded that i had in a playlist.
But they DIDNT SYNC! they wouldnt. And then some of my music (Music i bought off itunes and one or two i didnt buy i just downloaded) wouldnt play! it had a stop sign next to it, and would just skip if i tried to play them.
I restored my iphone and everything, I still can't sync the songs i wanted to in the first place. I cant sync anything.
I cant even unsync my songs?! My itunes says its syncing but nothing changes.

I gave my mum a refurbed iphone 3gs for her bday last year and for some reason it has mysteriously come apart. It is a genuine iphone, but the screen has lifted up, the whole screen unit part. Last minute Christmas gift ideas?

Hi, I'm 13 and I need to buy some last minute Christmas gifts for 8 people. My entire savings is $100 so I can only spend like $10 per person (so I won't have no money). My phone had been weird, i have an iPhone 4 which is supposed to have 8 GB of space. I have two apps, the Bible and kik and 404 pictures and 13 videos. I have no music on my phone or any downloaded videos. In the usage summary it says the camera takes up 1.2 GB, the bible is 74.9 MB, kik is 43.4 MB, and safari is 0.2 KB. It also says in total 6.3 GB are being used and i only have 44.2 MB left. Does this even add up? How can i fix this? I really want to upgrade to ios7

IPhone 5 will not connect to LTE, iMessage, OR wifi?

My iPhone 5 will not do anything but send SMS and call. No iMessage, no Safari, none of my internet-based apps work. My phone will not connect to any wifi connections either. I have done the hard reset (switching the vibrate button twice then holding power and home button down until the apple logo appears), I've turned it off and on multiple times. I have reset Network Settings as well. A friend is actually having the same exact problem and has been off and on the phone with AT&T and Apple for the last week and nothing has worked. PLEASE help!
Added (1). I don't know how to get the sim card out of an iPhone!
Added (2). My friend who has the same problem reinserted the SIM card multiple times and it isn't working so I assume it wont work for me either.

Wet iPhone Camera Flash And Speaker issues?

Last night I dropped my iPhone 4S into the toilet. I was lucky enough to save it by putting it in some rice. But now it does have a few problems I would like to try to fix. Firstly the sound from the speakers sound weird and wet like there is water in the speaker. Also the front camera on the phone has very cloudy quality and looks bad. Lastly the flash on the front of the phone for some reason is always on and always has light coming from it.

She loves clothes and shoes but doesn't have much; about 10 short sleeves, 8 long sleeves, 3 blue jeans, 2 jackets, 2 yoga pants, 2 skirts, 3 dresses, 2 cardigans, 1 hoodie, 2 pairs of boots brown and black, one pair of knock off converses, and 2 pairs of sandals. We usually get clothes and shoes at yard sales but we want to look for nice but cheap clothes at thrift shops but I don't know where to look. She loves to read books and is very artistic and creative and loves to create DYI projects and draw/paint.
My daughter Jessie (age 6): Jessie: She loves clothes as well and has the about the same amount of clothes as her sister. I wanna look for some cheap but pretty clothes for her too. She loves to play with baby dolls and barbies but only has about 2 baby dolls and 1 barbie and 1 ken and really wants some kind of barbie house. She also loves to read and enjoys playing house and outside.
I got Lexi: Twilight and Harry Potter Series. She hasn't read those yet. 4 Hollister sweaters, 4 Hollister short sleeves, 2 jeans, and a pair of grey boots. A drawing set with a sketch pad and a bunch of makeup from dollar store.
I got Jessie: Some clothes from thrift store, a Barbie dream house with a Barbie and Ken, a house that you can set up outside that I got donated to me from the church and some baby dolls and a baby doll high chair and a baby doll set with fake baby food, bib, and bottles.
Are these good gifts? Surprisingly, I have about $10 left over to buy for them so any other extra gifts advice I could get for them would be nice!

Activating my iPhone 5s (Verizon)?

So I just upgraded to iPhone 4 to iPhone 5s with Verizon. So unfortunately they didn't sent me an activation guide.

So when I set up my phone, my iPhone 5s doesn't have my mobile number and it says "unknown, but my iPhone 4 has my number in place. I tested it out and my bro sent me a text and it went straight to my iPhone 4, and my 5s didn't receive anything. Strange.

I looked it up and it said my previous phone was supposed to be turned off. Is that true?

Could I restore my iPhone 5s and start over? Is that possible?

How do I get out of this predicament? Any suggestions?

How to switch my number over from an Iphone 4 to and Iphone 5?

My dad has just upgraded to the new iPhone, and he's given me his old iphone 5. I have an iphone 4 at the moment.

Basically his work have got me a new sim card as I think it is a micro sim in the iphone 5 and mine wouldn't fit.

I put it in the iphone 5 today, but all of my dads old information was still stored on the phone and when I plugged it into itunes it was still called "my dad's name" iPhone. I restored it back to factory settings which basically wiped the iPhone, but I've got some of my contacts in as I've synced it with my icloud and apple ID.

The problem I have is that obviously my iphone 4 is still working and active and still has my number. The iphone 5 is saying that the number is "unknown". The people at my dads work said that it would switch over… but I knew it wouldn't be that simple. (it never is with apple), as I knew that 2 phones couldn't have the same number at the same time.

How do I get this new iphone 5 to have the same number as my iphone 4, and basically switch the number over? Is it possible to do this?

I got coffee in my iPhone 5?!

So i put my iPhone 5 and coffee thermos in the same bag. BIG MISTAKE! the top came undone and apparently some of it soaked into the iPhone, specifically the headphone and speaker parts. I could already see liquid getting in under the screen so i turned it off but didn't have access to any rice for about an hour and a half. It is currently in a container filled with rice. Is there any hope for my phone or should i just go get it fixed? If so, does anyone know approximately how much it will cost? The coffee had creamer and sugar in it.

but then, is having and ipad and a large lg g2 also pointless? you could argue that where the iphone lacks in size it is made up for with the ipad. although i don't know if two pretty similar devices are ideal. also a lot of people argue that the lg g2 is better because of its screen size and capability to watch films and play games, but i dont think this is an issue when you have an ipad?

I am already getting the ipad as an endorsement kind of deal from my college but the phone is where i need to make the decision.

What can I do to get past this?

Hey I need a little help.
I'm 14, and my parents are a little strict…
My dad took away my Xbox for a little over 1 year, along with my phone, etc. and to get it back, he made me sign a contract that he put together that says 2 hours a day, and only after I do a chore and such.
I'll get to the point… He plugged in a light dimmer that he can control from his iPhone, and he turns it off if I'm grounded, it tells him if I unplug it, unplug my tv from it, or if its on. It has a button on the front that turns it on, but it tells him it's on. What can I do? This contract is outrageously strict, and he thinks that my Xbox is evil.

What to do with my my iphone5s?

Just bought an iPhone5s (plan for 2 years), so normally when I buy a new phone I wait for the battery to get to 0 then fully charge it. So that's what I did with this phone. Then not even 24hours later, it's on 0% again. Now, there's no much signal from where I live unless I go outside the house like at the garage so I put it on airplane mode after charging it to 100%. And use wifi every now and then when I have to. When I'm using it, it's not really that fast to drain like every after 5mins or so before the batt% goes down. but when I use wifi, it goes down like every 2 mins.

Is this normal considering that I don't have signal (then put it on airplane mode and use wifi) or no. Cause it says on apple that:
Talk time: Up to 10 hours on 3G
Standby time: Up to 250 hours
Internet use: Up to 8 hours on 3G, up to 10 hours on LTE, up to 10 hours on Wi-Fi
Video playback: Up to 10 hours
Audio playback: Up to 40 hours

and mine does not even last for 24 hours. like wtf. can i ask my carrier(or apple) to replace it?

Hi I own a 2011 BMW 5 series 535i With loads of options but I don't think It has iDrive support or something?

It only has an USB jack and an AUX jack. It can play my Ipod through usb but it doesn't read it like itunes so i cant see my playlists or songs, it reads it as a storage device not an mp3 player.

What do I do? What do I need to get for it to play my ipod correctly?

Why is my iphone not telling me when i have a message?

I updated my iphone to the new ios 7 last week and all was working well until today, for some reason it hasnt been making a notification sound when i have a message and now isnt telling me when i have a message at all not even showing me on my messages so i have no idea if i have any new messages or not!
If anyone else has had this problem pleasee answer as to how i can fix it!
Its not on silent and isnt on do not disturb ive turned it on and off number of times and still nothing has worked so far!

IPhone 4S app downloads extremely slow?

I just bought an iPhone 4S 64 GB. I have Verizon. I got it and activated it and everything. I have been going on the internet and made and received phone calls and texted and all that. But when I try and download apps the thing is just so incredibly slow it's hard to handle. I switched from an HTC Android phone which was so much faster. I don't think I ever used Wi-Fi once in the 3 years I had the phone because the 3G was so fast.

A few hours after getting my iPhone I tried to download a 45 MB app on 3G. I had 5 bars the entire time and I timed how long it took to just download and it was 9 minutes and 45 seconds! In my opinion that is just unacceptable. I don't mean to sound like a huge Android fanatic here or boast about them but my droid could've downloaded 45 MB in maybe a minute to a minute and a half. I have an iPad and iPod Touch which only use Wi-Fi but love them and have never had any speed problems. This thing can not possibly be this slow, can it? Any similar stories? Thanks

IPhone 4S not playing videos?

When I try to play videos in safari, chrome… There is a little play button that has a diagonal line that crosses over the video not allowing me to play videos on sites. I did a power cycle, complete phone reset (I did not do a backup from iCloud or anything) erased all setting in safari and videos from any website will not play.
I have an iPhone 4S with the latest software update.

Is it bad that I think my iPhone5 is useless?

I am 13 yrs old. I might sound like some spoiled selfish kid but I'm not. My parents buy my an iPhone when I don't really want one until I'm older and can make actual use of it. When I get it, I can't make an Apple ID since my brother already made one using my mom's credit card, he already forgotten it, and it was for my iPad, I don't even know the internet password. ( Dad got ipad for free from points by buying gas, works as bus driver) I'm usually home all the time so I don't need it for anything the phone provides. (Texting, internet, music, games, calling)
Also, no phones in school as always.

My iphone 5 with iOS7 has my home address saved in maps and I have never saved it nor entered it as my home address. How do I remove this? So I got my 8GB iPhone 4 in February 2013. It still has iOS 5 because that's how it came and I never updated it. I wanted to update it to iOS 7, but my phone says I need 3.7 GB to update it. My iPhone won't make sound but it will when its a ringtone. How do I fix this?

It won't make any sound when i play music or sound through apps (iPod, Facebook, YouTube, Soundcloud etc) but it will whenever a ringtone is being played. This all of course is through the phone's main actual speakers.

If someone has had the same problem and knows how to fix this fast it would be dearly appreciated.

Why are photos taking up so much memory on my iPhone?!

i have a 16gb iphone 5 and under usage it says 11.5gb used and 1.7gb available? first of all this doesn't make sense and i was just wondering why it says this.

also, my sister has a 16gb iphone 4 and has 3000 photos and it only takes up 5gb but i have 1500 and it takes up 7.1gb! why is this? neither of us have any videos either!

and. i deleted ALL of my messages but it still says messages takes up 1.5gb? why is this!
i am running out of space and whenever i take over 50 photos i need to delete another 50 because i keep running out of space!
