So I was walking down a not so crowded street (there were people, but not as much people where you cant run off after you snatched someone's phone) holding on to my iPhone when it got snatched off by a robber.
Luckily for me, he tripped over something so I caught up with him and beat him up. I sat on his back and asked someone to call the cops. Then the cops came and arrested him.
I was just wondering, can a robber charge someone with assult or battery, and if so, how long will the person go to jail for?
