I broke my friend's phone!

It happened last week. Basically me and my friend (we r both 13) were walking to the nearest train station from the cinemas. She was immersed in her phone and I told her to get off it because we were crossing a road. She didn't listen. A car was coming up at her who wasn't paying any attention so I ran and pulled her out of the way of the speeding car, and she dropped her phone when I was pulling her. During that time I had broken my ankle and patches of skin were ripped off. She screamed. Turned out she was screaming at her cracked phone rather than my hurt ankle. Anyway I'm in hospital whilst have stitched up my ankle. She visited me today and said I have to pay full for a brand new iPhone 6s (she had the iPhone 6). I told her that I didn't have to pay for a brand new one as hers was already old. No asking me if I was better, just demands. Her parents said they will sue my family if we refused to pay. I mean, a. I saved her damned life and b. She's demanding for a better phone without asking me if I'm better. What to do

Why was my iPhone making a fire alarm-like sound?

So I'm on my laptop playing League with headphones on while I'm on iFunny in the comment section when the [fire] alarm-like sound started to sound. I looked down at my phone thinking it was a video, but I realized I was in the comment section so the sound couldn't have been coming from my phone. So I turned my phone off. I then look around in an attempt to find the source of the sound. I looked at the fire alarm in my room, but the alarm wasn't there (we needed to get new batteries). Then I looked at my DS and it wasn't coming from there or my laptop. So I grabbed my phone and put it to my ear. The sound was coming from it. I was afraid because my phone was off and it wasn't a notification sound. In fear that it might explode, I put it at a distance from me.

My best explanation for the sound was a fire alarm sound that kept repeating. (No it was not an amber alert noise either).

Why was my phone making that noise? Should I be worried?

Extra Info: I have an iPhone 6 and it was not charging when I was using it.

Ok, so recently i just got a external microphone (Takstar SGC-598) and a adapter for my iPhone 6. So I tried making a video/ recording audio and its not recording from the mic(takstar). Is there any thing in settings or something I can do to make it record from the takstar mic? Thanks!

How can I update iTunes on a windows 8 asus laptop?

I recently bought an iPhone 6s and I'm trying to restore my backup from my old iPhone. But my iPhone 6s is not compatible with the version of iTunes I currently have, so my laptop prompted me to update it to version 12.6.1. Halfway through the installation, it stops, and a window pops up that says "iTunes has an invalid signature. It will not be installed."
I can't restore the backup until I update iTunes, so I tried to back up my old iPhone to iCloud, but every time I try, a window pops up that either says "there's not enough space to complete the backup" or "the iPhone has been disconnected" (which it hasn t.)
I don't have time to go to Verizon or the Apple Store for the next 3 or 4 days, so I'm out of options. Any suggestions?

My external mic isn't working?! Someone

So I just received my external mic for my Iphone, it has the end of like an aux cord so it fits in my phone and I don't need an adapter. But when I tested it, sound only recorded from the built in microphone and not the external mic. The phone seems to be recognizing it as headphones instead of a mic, is there a setting I need to change?! Thank you for your help!

Something's wrong with my iPhone 5s?

So my phone was working fine, until I dropped it screen-down [it has a secure case, as well as glass screen protector] and it did not crack. However, the screen became completely black and no matter how much I held the lock button [alone, and with home button] it would not turn back on, or show any sign of working [for example, dead battery alert]. I came home and plugged it in, and the white background with the Apple logo came up [the one when it's turning on or rebooting], but it just stays like that. [I don't think it matters, but it was on Low Power mode before the incident. Are the Apple competitions real or a scam?

Recently when I've been on my iPod on Facebook, if I click on a link to read an article a message will pop up saying something like "Congratulations you've been chosen as a lucky winner for the new iPhone 7!" The message is in a white box and only has one button underneath that says "OK" so if I want to ignore the message I have to go off the app, close it and then go back on.

I've always assumed it was a scam but there's a couple of hints that could mean it's the real deal. Firstly, sometimes the message will say "lucky iPod user" which to me is strange because how would they know that I'm using my iPod? Secondly, it's always Apple products being advertised, so all of these messages have got a common theme of Apple. Thirdly, it's not just one particular link or website link that always means this message turns up e.g. It's not always on websites such as 'diply.com' that this message comes up so it would also be strange if three or four different websites always came up with the same message.

But there are also things that make me hesitant, I've never seen the same 'competition' twice, if you click on the OK button it takes you to a survey-type-website place that I've never seen before and doesn't look like Apple have set it up.

If anyone can shed some light on this that would be fab because let's face it, if I can get a free iPhone, I'm going to do it!

Added (1). I'm thinking of upgrading from the iPhone 6. I've decided I want to stay with iPhone because I don't want to start over again with an Android when I can restore from a backup.

I really want a better camera. However, I really dislike the removal of the headphone jack with the 7. One of the reasons I've favoured Apple is because I like the easy upload of my music from my Mac and the Apple Music system, so using it to play music is important to me. Is the 7 that much better than the 6s?

I'm having problems with my Facebook. It will not let me log on my web browser on my phone, or on my computer

It lets me log onto my app on my phone, but I'm try to deactivate my account. Every time I go to my account settings, it boots me off and says session is expired. I've tried everything from resetting my passwords to deleting all data from Facebook off every device. I've deleted it off my iPhone and reinstalled it several times, and same thing. It will not even let me change my basic info settings without saying session is expired. When I go onto the web browser on my computer, it shows my picture to my Facebook and I click on it, and it prompts for my password - which I give, but it does nothing but go back to the login page and show my icon again. Over and over. I'm at my wits end. Any suggestions?

What is an Apple Push Notification service?

Hi I've been receiving emails from Apple which look legit but don't make any sense. They say "The following Apple Push Notification Service certificates, created for AppleID [my ID] will expire on May 18, 2017. You can renew your certificates with your Mac server administration tools"

What is this? I don't have a Mac. I have a PC and Laptop with Windows and an iPhone. I do have an iCloud account - is that what they are referring to - and does this message mean anything I need to attend to?

Why do some of my messages sent to a person send as green and some as blue?

I'm texting a person who has an old iphone and they only get messages when they're connected to wifi.Sometimes my messages to them will send as green and others will be sent as blue, and some of them will look blue at first but then switches to green when it finishes delivering.
are all of them sending? The person will usually reply but it takes them a couple of hours due to the phone issue. My concern is that something won't send and I won't know it, so I'll be waiting for a response
the last message I sent was blue and it says delivered, does that mean it went through for sure?

Reminders app alert time keeps disappearing on iPhone 6s?

I use my phone's Reminders app frequently and have started having problems with the "Remind me on a day" option. Today I noticed that whenever I set a time and date for a reminder alert, it disappears after a few moments, leaving just the text I entered but no alert time (ie, a reminder to start dinner at 5:00pm on Tuesday will show up properly on the reminders home screen for a few seconds, and then the alert time will disappear, leaving just "Start Dinner"). Since the alert times keep disappearing, none of my reminders actually work at the moment. I also have weekly reminders that I've used for over a year but starting today they now show up as "(null), weekly" underneath the original reminder text.

I exited the app, restarted my phone and then did a hard reset, but nothing has changed the way the app is behaving. Creating a reminder through Siri just gives me the same problem. I haven't done anything out of the ordinary with my phone so I'm not sure why it's not working properly. Thanks for any help you can give!

How do I transfer videos from my laptop to my iPhone?

My sister s wedding was yesterday and I took all pictures and videos on my Sony DSC-WX350 camera. I transferred the pictures from my camera to my phone but it wouldn t let me transfer the videos. I learned that I could only transfer MP4 videos and I didn't record with that format. I was able to transfer the videos from my camera to my laptop. I also changed the format to MP4 using PlayMemories. I also saved them. My wifi has been acting up for 3 days now. It works for a few seconds and it stops working for a few seconds. So I connected my phone and laptop via Bluetooth. I'm using FileTaskManager. The problem is that whenever I select a video and try sending it to my phone, the window closes. When I open it again, and I go on history, it says it failed to send. I also can't seem to figure out a way to transfer the MP4 videos to my camera. I would ve downloaded ITunes but like I said, my wifi isn't working. I tried transferring pictures from my laptop to my phone too but it still fails to work. I ve been trying to figure this out all day. My laptop is Windows 7 Professional.

Constant page reloading and overheating on my iPhone 5s. Any tips?

When I watch videos, the sounds will sometimes become glitched for a second and that ll somehow cause my Safari app to reload the page. Overheating also and only happens when I watch videos on the Safari app (I can still watch videos and listen to music on the YouTube app and there will not be any overheating issues at all). I tried deleting apps on to lower battery consumption usage; turned off background apps, locating settings, Bluetooth, and cellular data. I also did a bunch of other stuff which should ve fixed this problem like updating… But to no avail. I need to know what the problem is and what I can do to fix it… Thanks. ^-^

Why does my iPhone 6s make a high pitched, almost smoke alarm sound when I listen to music?

The first time happened when I walked onto the bus. I didn't have my headphones in and my phone dtsrted making a smoke alarm-type sound. The second time also happened on the but when I was listening to music without headphones and everybody told me to turn it off and it went away when I paused my music. Keep in mind there were 2 different songs. The last one that happened was just now when I had headphones in. I fear my phOne may be tapped. Please help.
