I was driving with this girl one day and she was checking out my new iPhone. The cost of changing a battery for iPhone 5S?
My iPhone 5S battery is not doing so well. I've been told after a check that it will probably have to be changed.
In the store I got it checked at they told me the price of changing the battery would be about 120 pounds, but that they often instead of fixing the battery would "swap" the phone for a brand new one, which would then cost about 250 pounds.
After a quick internet search I found that many places offer to change the battery for about 40 pounds.
Is the store I went to just overcharging or are these cheaper places not to be trusted?

Does receiving texts use data?
Hi. I have an IPhone 5C (I use Verizon). I don't have a shared data plan. My family has the plan where each of us get 2GB a month. My question is does receiving texts when you are not on wifi use data? Because I am in a group message and they text a lot but I rarely respond but I am constantly receiving text messages (the blue texts not the green ones) So does this use data?

Should I get a Mac or stick with PC?
Firstly, I am 13 years old. I've worked with PC laptops/computers for as long as I was born. (I never had a Mac or MacBook). I've wanted a Mac computer/laptop for all my life. I'm obsessed with Apple and recently on an iPhone 6 right now. (it’s amazing lol). But anyway, basically I am a huge Apple fan. The reason why I'm questioning if I should stick with PC is because of gaming. I can literally download and play any game I want on a PC, but on a MacBook, not so much. But that’s literally the only reason why I want a PC. I hate the design, I hate Windows 8, and I'm just not a fan of a PC. But I want a MacBook because of the sleek design, the way it's built, the backlit keyboard, the retina display, the trackpad, and it's amazing graphics. The only downfall is that it's not good with gaming. The only games I want to play is Outlast, amnesia, slender man, and the sims. Do you think the MacBook Pro (newest version) can handle all of that? It's just that my mom is offering to buy me a MacBook Pro for Christmas and I don't want to miss out on that chance and regret getting a PC. (Apple products are stupidly expensive) BUT, I also don't want to get a MacBook and not going to be able to play any games. What should I do. Please help, thanks!
BTW: I like to edit and play with photoshopping and I know the MacBook is great with that. So it's not like I'm going to only play games. I like editing too. :)

How to turn the text tone on on an iPhone 5s?
The mute switch thing on the side is set to on, the ringer and alerts sounds are set to full, there is something selected for the type of sound, and the iPhone is still not making sound. I tried holding the power and home buttons until the apple logo appears and it still does not work.

Why do we kids need an iphone?
i mean when your an adult i understand you need one because of business and you need to call people that will get you money. But when your my age i don' t understand why you would need one i mean i see lot's of kids my age (14) have iphone 6's and there parents have a flipphone, And all they do is just play games and go on snapchat or instagram or maybe sometimes withought their parents looking omegle? It just does not make sense can anyone tell me why it is good to have a phone this age because i just have an ipod 4th generation and i'm happy with what i have.

I'm 16 does getting an iPhone 6 plus make me spoiled?
So I got and iPhone 6 plus yesterday. I feel like everyone around and at school will think I'm really spoiled. I'm really not though. I rarely get things that I ask for right away, I either have to save up my own money or wait until my birthday or Christmas. I always appreciate the things I have and take care of them. The only other phone I have had was the iPhone 4s since I was 13 and it hasn't broken and still works fine With no cracks or anything. I really like this phone but I feel like people will judge me for having a phone of this size and think I'm spoiled/a brat.

How to connect my PS3 to the internet via IPhone 5c hotspot?
I have tried pretty much everything, and it will not connect. It doesn't show up at all on the playstation, and while I type in the ssid (A) and password, it always times out when trying to figure out an IP?
It's downright maddening 'cause I have no other means of connecting it to the Internet and I need it in order to connect my PSN and Steam accounts via Portal 2 so I can get the PC copy free.

Any good local multiplayer games for iPhone?
Im trying to find games in the AppStore that 2-3 people can play on one phone at the same time. For example: Soccer Physics, wrassling, wrestle jump, and tug the table are for 2 or more players. Are there any other good ones?

I have just got an app for my iPhone and it s a restaurant finder app, I found a restaurant and it says afternoon tea £24.95, so I booked a table for 4 and it doesn t state per person, there is some on there that say per person but I went with this one thinking £24.95 for 4 is really good. Step counting app doesn't seem accurate?
I have the pacer app on my iPhone 5S but it says I walked 8106 steps and it says that is 4 miles and I burned 1361 calories but I don't think that is even close. The steps seem accurate after my walk but none of the other things add up

My iMessage texts haven't been sending since I've gone on vacation?
Ever since I went on vacation to another state, my texts have been messing up between me and my boyfriend.
My boyfriend has an iPhone 4, but he ran out of data so he can only use iMessage when he's on wifi and he messages me through his email.
I have an iPod Touch that I use to iMessage him when I'm on wifi, and I also have an old 'dumb phone' that I use to message him when I'm not on wifi, and I'll send him messages through his email address since he's out of data.
The past few days that I've been on vacation though, he hasn't been getting some of my messages through iMessage even though mine say 'delivered', and I haven't been getting some of his messages through my dumb phone. His wifi is really bad at his house, but this didn't start happening until I went on vacation and started using my friend's wifi.
What do you think the deal is? A phone issue? Wifi issue?

i was on eBay looking for cases for my new iPhone and I found one for super cheap. It was like 0.99 with free shipping. What is the best cloud storage for photos with the most space?
my iPhone has like 20 gigs taken by pictures and ids. I would like to free all that space up but i don't want to back it up on a hard drive and all that because its inconvenient to hook it up to the comp and all that. So i am trying to look for a cloud service that i can access from my iPhone that will allow me to upload all my photos and go and view them at any time form the said app. So it needs to have a nice size of free space that i can upload my pics to, and safe (in terms of no one else will be able to see them),

I have an iPhone 5 and I can only receive texts from other iPhone users. I can text non iPhone users but it'll take a while for me to receive it. My bf has and LG and I texted him though out the day yesterday but I got all of his replies at 8 this morning. Co worker who owns a Sony replied to my text but I haven't receive it. I've resetted my network setting, turn on/ off iMessage and my phone. Nothing works my iOS is up todate. Any suggestions?

So my iPhone 4's battery recently died and now whenever I try to turn it on it shows that no battery thing even if its been plugged in for 2 days! My friend says this has happened to her and it was so much out of battery that it was actually dead and never reopened! I am afraid that I will loose all my data like my contacts, my photos, my apps, etc… Does anyone know what to do?

IPhone verticle/horizontal lines, mostly purple?
My iPhone screen was replaced not long ago, and ever since this weird thing has happened to my screen, this is what happens:
After opening phone, screen begins to fade into purple lines, vertical and a few horizontal, it's hard to explain, but the horizontal ones are usually across text. The higher the brightness the quicker it happens, when it has fully happened I can't use the touch, but can still slightly see what was on the screen. I'm more than sure it's not a moisture damage problem as my phone has never been near water, any advice as how to fix it would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

Iphone lowers resolution of saved photos?
Whenever I try to save an HD photo to my iPhone (especially when I'm looking for wallpapers) the quality of the photo is visibly in a lot lower resolution in the camera roll than it is from the source? I could save a photo that is visibly smooth and HD when I look at the source, but as soon as I look at it in the camera roll it is all pixelated. Does anyone know what causes this or how to fix it? (I save most of my pictures from tumblr, in case that is important)

IPhone 5s won't charge properly?
My iPhone 5s was charging fine, ive never used a fake charger always an official Apple charger. But now, when I plug he charger in it says "this cable is not verified and may not work reliably with this iphone". I've tried 3 different official Apple chargers and they all say the same, I've reset my phone so many times and tried every method Ive found! But when it's plugged in it still says it's charging with the lightning bolt on but the percentage just goes down so it's not actually charging! I put it in my Bose speaker and it charges perfecy fine in that but yet no Apple chargers are charging it… Help!

Why don't people receive my texts with iPhone?
I have a iPhone and have done for years, but for the few months people have been saying they don't receive my texts. They do sometimes but 50% of the time they don't. Some are iPhone users and some aren't. It's a massive problem and I'm going to ditch Apple completely unless I find a solution. I've read things about iMessage not working so I've turned it off. But it's just my text messages don't get through. I get texts asking why I don't reply! Please someone help or tell me it's not just me, if it's an apple problem then they are gone, if it's my phone company then they are gone. I need to ditch whatever the problem is.

Can I get an iPhone without a plan?
My best friend has two iPhones, one that can call and do things out of wifi, but the other one acts like an iPod touch. It can t do things out of wifi. Where it usually says where her service should be, all it says is "No Service" then the wifi next to it. My mom will never let me get an iPhone, only because of the monthly cost. So taking in some advice, i deleted all the music on my iphone (in settings > genera > usage > manage storage) and I did it because there were double-ups of songs so i wanted to remove everything then add the songs back in. However when i synced it again on my iTunes to add the music back in, it synced very quickly and completed, but the music didn't appear in my iPhone, I have an empty library. I've tried to backup my phone and that doesn't work.

What can I do to change the contact I'm texting, back to iMessage?
i have an iPhone 5c. I have been using iMessage but I was texting someone and my iMessages wouldn't send because I wasn't using wifi at the time and my 4G was turned off. I simply pressed "send as text message" every time I was sending an iMessage. It automatically started changing to text messaging every time. It would go back to iMessage sometimes but I would keep pressing "send as text message" and now my phone won't go back to iMessage with that certain person. I have turned my phone off and even restarted it. Please help me change it back!

I dropped my iphone 5c and the screen went black after a few minutes. My warranty is good for another week so i took it to team mobile to see how much it would cost to fix, they said it would COST $350 TO FIX IT.
I DONT HAVE THAT KIND OF MONEY TO SPEND ON MY PHONE. I still have apple care too. Should it cost that much money? And if not how much should it cost. What do i do? And if it does cost that much money how do i come up with the money in a week.

So my daughter is 14 years old, turning 15 in a few weeks. She is a straight A student, and she's nice and polite. We are close with each other. I asked what she wanted for her birthday, and she said maybe an iPhone 5c, but she said it's completely fine if I don't get her one. She currently does not have a cellphone. I can afford to get her one, and I think maybe I should award her for being good. But I'm also cautious if she'll be too glued to her phone, start sexting, see bad things online, etc. What should I do?

Added (1). touch screen was glitching last night so i turned it off and turned it back on and now it's totally not working and i tried to back up everything to my computer before i take it to the apple store but it cant back up without the passcode and touch id needs the passcode to get into it since i turned it off but i obviously cant put it in because the screen isn't responding to my touch! How to get rid of iphone 6 history? When I push round button it shows everything I viewed?
I want to get rid of the history that shows when I push the round button below the screen. It shows the photos, memo, texts, web search and everything that I viewed with my mobile.
I also want to make my iphone 6 to never remember these history with round button.
Added (1). Would be awesome if you can also tell me how to delete all the mobile search and internet search history and never save it.
It's like I have to delete bing and google search one after another.

How to explore an iPhone file store?
I can't see any equivalent of Android's Settings/Storage to see how full the iPhone is, or any way to get the photo gallery to show a list of jpgs and sizes/resolutions.
(I can't see any way of exporting jpgs either, but that's another question)
