How to make grounding illegal please?

My friends and cousins came over so went to the lake down the hill from our house and hung out in my dad's boat. We were only dancing, diving and listening to music- no alcohol, no fights and such. I had a great time BUTTTTTT for some reason when we got off the boat was messy and some things were broken! Idk how because i did not hear anything breaking. Well dad comes from work at around 10 which is in 10 minutes please help a friend out and tell me how to make him see that it was an accident?

I don't want him to call my friend's parents and I don't want him to take my iphone and car keys away so tell me what to say right now!
