I have an old iphone3 that is deactivated that i use as an ipod… I set up a gmail account on mail and i can send messages great, but when i try to imessage my friend (she has an ipod) it gives me a red explanation mark next to the message that failed to send… Why is this? when i go into the message settings there is no "imessage on/off" option, only "mms messaging on/off" i turned it on but still nothing… wtf!!!
