Iphone 6+ won't focus when taking photos?

Hi! So I got my iPhone 6+ on Christmas Day and around February time the camera completely stopped focussing. I've tapped on the screen before taking photos, reset it (turning it off and on again because I don't want to erase anything on here) I've tried everything and nothing seems to work. The camera only seems to focus when I take a photo that's at an exact distance (around 30cm away from the camera) everything else appears blurred. When I take photos everything is unfocused and blurry which bothers me because I had the phone for like two months before the focus stopped working. I smashed it about a month ago so if I take it back to Apple they won't serve me because they'll blame it on the smash. What can I do?
