Could this be melanoma? I'm really worried

The spot it on my abdomen. It kinda feels like a scab but I can't peel it off without lots of pain so I never have not even really sure I could. It appeared about a year ago maybe a year and a half so I don't think it's a scab because it would have gone away by now right? Any info on what it could be would be greatly appreciated. It's smaller than a pea if that helps. Sorry this is the best pic I could get with iPhone.
