How to know if my text go though to people?

I'm in a little bit of a dilemma. Basically I sent my friend a text basically telling her that she is a very special and beautiful young woman and I miss her because earlier this year she moved outta state and I haven't got a text back from her and it's been almost a whole day. She knows that I like her already and we are really close friends I spoke to her about a couple a weeks ago checking up to she if she was ok and a week ago I sent her a picture of a new bar and told her that I would take her there one day and I haven't gotten a response from that either. It could possibly my connection speed getting cut slower because att wants to punish me for having unlimited data plan and they reward me by reducing the connection speed every month. I have a galaxy s5 and she has a iPhone 6 if that helps a bit. Now that I remember, I did send a text to my dad and he didn't respond either. So it could be my phone or she might be busy but usually she texts me immediately after I text her but she hasn't texted me back last week or this week after I sent her a text. It's shows my text messages went through though so idk
