As per suggestions on the net, I tried to unlock it by restoring the factory setting using itune by pressing power button and home button simultaneously for some time.
After restoration process got over, i tried to activate the phone but i am get the message "This iphone is currently linked to an apple ID…" and i am not able to activate it.
