I am working on create an app for the iPhone right now but i need to create a few images first. I'd need to save them in.PNG format in order to drag those images into Xcode 5.1.1. I've been hearing that recently since GIMP 2.8, the software has become worse with upgrades? Doesn't save.PNG format anymore? How about bugs, spam, spyware with GIMP? Is it safe to use? I mean it is free instead of paying $500 for Adobe's photoshop so there must be a catch. What is it?
