Does this make sense to you?

My boyfriend has been really depressed lately and because of that he has been ignoring not only me but most everyone else in his life right now and because he's in between jobs right now, he hardly ever leaves his house.

My boyfriend hasn't been returning my texts which is our primary form of communication when we aren't with each other but I was wondering, my boyfriend has an iPhone and if he blocked my number, wouldn't he block my number from receiving calls and texts and not just texts? I mean if I wanted to block someones number I would block them from being able to do both, wouldn't you? My boyfriend hates talking on the phone and he prefers to text but despite that I have tried calling him knowing he wouldn't answer and the phone rings 5 times every time and then since he doesn't answer, it goes to the normal voicemail.
