IPHONE KEEPS PROMPTING SLIDE TO POWER OFF?

My friend dropped my iphone in her hot tub last night for not even a full second but it was fully emerged. We dried it off immediately but there were lines going vertically across my phone and the screen would not work. We turned it off immediately and we did everything we could find on the internet that it said to do when this happened. We left it off over night and when it was turned on this morning it seemed to be back to normal. But after using it for a few minutes, it started locking itself on its own and while it was sitting there locked with nothing touching it, the slide to power off screen would show up. Now it does it constantly while i am trying to use my phone and the lock button will not actually work when i want it to unless i do slide to power off, then the lock button will work to turn it back on.
