Why would anyone buy the iPhone 5?

The camera hasn't changed besides the lens, but the actual hardware came from Sony, who used it in SE phones 2 years ago, sure algorithms have changed but the hardware is still old. Not to mention the screen is still horrifically native in resolution. Also, every Apple fanboy went batshit crazy when they saw that the 4S looked exactly like the 4, why did it need to look different? what, bragging rights? "Oh I see you have the newer iPhone" "*** YES I DO!", my point is, the internal improvements from the 4 to the 4S was more substantial than from the 4S to the 5, the only reason nobody has brought up the minor and quite frankly, poor improvements of the 5 is because it looks different, you know, so people will notice that they have the newer one. Also, these fanboys are the same people who would put down the SII and the Xperia Arc for being "too thin", but wet themselves with excitement when they find out the 5 is thinner than both. I can understand an older person with a lot of disposable income who would struggle to change over to a different OS buying an iPhone 5 when their 3GS dies or something, but I don't understand why anyone want a chronically 1 year out of date, cleverly marketed smartphone, that costs more than any other smartphone out there. It's like paying £530 to go on facebook & instagram -_-
