Basically how do I prove my iphone is mine without the serial number ect on the box matching what it says on the phone?
I have previously asked this but I didn't get any answers that help me

Yesterday my partner got a HTC. We both had iphone 4 phones. While his iphone updated and got restored to factory settings he went to his mothers house to collect his HTC. He then came back home. The iphone finally finished updating ect. He then took the iphone back to his mothers for his mother to keep. After he returned he got a phone all off his mother. She was screaming down the phone saying we've swapped the phones over * so I have the newer one! (The phones are the same. Neither is newer than the other). After an hour of nasty phone calls and texts I thought to check the serial number ect on the sticker of the iphone box to the phone.It didnt match and then I remembered that the iphone I have is a replacement/repair phone so it wouldn't match the box. He lost his iphone box so there is no proof there. She has now told her son to never speak to her again and other vile things. This isn't a way a mother should speak to her son.
