I was texting with a guy I like and we both have iphones, and he has his set to where other people can see when he has read their message. basically, until he has read it, it says "delivered" and then when he reads it it says "read at 10:30pm" or whatever.
so he and i were texting back and forth and i really like this guy so i either wanted to somehow get us talking on the phone or hoped our conversation would continue for a long time.
he asked me a question and I answered and said something intriguing that i thought he might respond to.
But guess what, he hasn't even READ my last text. I don't get it.do guys sometimes not even read a text until way later? (like the next day)? or is he going to leave it unread forever? I am used to checking my texts when i get them, not leaving them - so i don't get that
why'd he not read my texts? he always "wins" - it's like does he know this bothers me? i guess he's not into me, eh? but he's always "liking' everything i post on instagram, so i don't get it.
Added (1). Parris, I think it's rude to twist around what I am trying to say. I was simply asking if it is customary for guys to sometimes not even read a text. I wasn't suggesting that he ought to "instantly" reply to MY texts, and I was not suggesting I was that important.i was simply WONDERING what was going on. And i do think that him not reading it sooner probably means he isn't all that interested in me, does anybody agree?
also - another idea i had was what if he does want to send me a thoughtful answer (he usually does) but is busy and doesn't want me to see that he has already read it so he is holding off so that the "read at" time is right before he actually is ready to respond…
Added (2). Floyd, thanks, but i am asking why he did not READ the text, not answer it. Why didn't he READ it… it says the text (iMessage) is still unread.
